Hello! My name's Thien Dong, and I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Strategy and Innovation at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. My research is inspired by the real-world challenges encountered by startups. My areas of interest include entrepreneurial finance, technology commercialization, AI, and strategic partnership. I utilize a combination of quantitative analyses with machine learning tools, which allow me to create unique datasets to address a diverse range of questions.
Born and raised in Saigon, I completed my undergraduate degree in International Business and Economics. My professional experience spans education, pharmacy automation, fashion sourcing, and consulting (deals valuation). I spent two years in Europe completing a research Master's program at the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to embark on my doctoral studies.
I love good food with good company, museums, reading, and calligraphy. I also enjoy rope jumping: my personal record is two hours of non-stop jumping.
I'm on the 2024-2025 job market and look forward to connecting with professionals and practitioners who share my passion for entrepreneurship and technology.
